What’s been your most memorable experience with Hanover, to date?
Since beginning my career at Hanover over six months ago, I’ve had many experiences that have contributed to my enjoyable time here thus far. However, I’d have to say my most memorable experience was when I attended an on-site client meeting in D.C. Even though I’d shadowed client calls in the months beforehand, the opportunity to attend a face-to-face client meeting was highly beneficial especially as an entry-level associate.
What skills can new Hanoverians expect to learn?
Similar to many American University students, I held numerous internships during my career as an undergrad, all of which helped me feel well prepared to begin my job at Hanover. Although these skills positively contributed to the transition into my first full-time job, there are always ways to improve. Since starting at Hanover, I have greatly advanced my professional phone and interpersonal communication skills through daily phone conversations with prospective and current clients, as well as collaborating with coworkers and leading team meetings. In addition, new Hanoverians can also expect to enhance their organization and time management skills, especially when working in client-facing roles.
Why did you choose Hanover, and why should others work here?
When I began my job search senior year at AU, I was interested in finding a job that combined my interest in market research and experience in client communications, so I quickly applied for the Account Management Associate position here at Hanover. Throughout the interview process, everyone I met raved about the company culture and professional development opportunities, eventually leading me to happily accept my offer. No matter the position you hold, Hanover is a great place to start your post-grad career because of the highly collaborative and supportive environment, opportunities to advance, and friendly coworkers that help create a fun office environment.
