What’s been your most memorable experience with Hanover, to date?
At the end of my very first week at Hanover I attended the Annual Firm-wide Meeting and Awards Ceremony. While it was very interesting to hear about Hanover’s plans for growth and moving forward the strategic initiatives being implemented, it was the awards ceremony that impacted me the most. The ceremony let me see firsthand the collaborative culture at Hanover and the support Hanover provides to its researchers and employees in general. It was reassuring to know individual efforts and achievements would not go unnoticed and see a strong emphasis on the team.
What skills can new Hanoverians expect to learn?
New Hanoverians can expect to quickly hone the research and writing skills they have developed over their time at AU. Learning to quickly process information from numerous sources and honing strong writing fundamentals is important for Hanover researchers. Outside the basics, new Hanoverians will have numerous opportunities to work with colleagues in learning about new research techniques, data sources, and software tools.
Why did you choose Hanover, and why should others work here?
I had been working at a position I felt unfulfilled with and heard from a friend who had recently begun working at Hanover about how much she enjoyed her new position and the people at Hanover. I gave it a shot and applied to Hanover and after interviewing and hearing about the opportunities to expand my skills at Hanover, I decided to join the team. If you are someone who would enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive work environment and willing to put in the work to succeed, you would probably be a great fit at Hanover. Working on projects focused on numerous disciplines makes for a challenging, interesting, and rewarding experience.
Hanover will be at AU on September 27th, see you there!
