American University: Brooke Weimar

In brief, what is your role at Hanover?

As a Development Associate in the K-12 Education practice, I serve as the first point of contact for potential partners. I collaborate with other associates on strategic outreach to coordinate introductory calls for my Development Director. I also play an integral role in my director’s sales process and I am constantly learning about each part of the sales cycle.

Why did you decide to work at Hanover?

I enjoyed the interview process with Hanover and I liked that everyone I spoke with was currently in my position. I could tell that everyone I spoke with really loved working at Hanover and I wanted to be a part of that! I also liked the wide range of practice areas at Hanover.

In your opinion, what sets Hanover apart from other organizations?

Hanover is truly an organization that you grow up in. It’s a young, successful company that invests in its employees and wants to see them move into other roles throughout the company. All of our employees are goal-oriented and have strong motivation to complete their work. Hanover stands out against other companies with similar practices by providing a heavy focus on professional development.

Why should graduates at your alma mater be interested in working at Hanover?

AU alums often graduate with 5+ internships on their resume, alongside various other extracurricular activities. They are used to working hard and balancing that work ethic with fun! Hanover provides a similar environment in that we all work very hard throughout the work day, but we have numerous ways to keep the fun rolling after hours. There are so many opportunities to stay involved in community service, participate in team sports, take on leadership roles within these activities, etc.

What is your favorite part of your job/the company?

I have two favorite parts of Hanover that are equally important. Hanover wants you to grow in the company and they reward you for those aspirations. In talking to my friends who have graduated over the past few years, I realize more and more how invested Hanover is in their employees. Because the company is young and growing so fast, you can be sure that you’ll be rewarded for your success and recognized for it. Additionally, the company culture is tight-knit, supportive, and fun! There’s never a dull moment in this office, and I never dread waking up to go to work – not even on Monday!

Hanover will be at American University’s Job & Internship Fair on September 17th, see you there!

We’ll be coming to a school near you soon! Be sure to check out all our upcoming visits.
