University of Pittsburgh – Ryan Stewart, Business Development Associate (NYC)
Simply put, I serve as the first point of contact between Hanover and our future partners. I work one-on-one with my Director in our Technology Practice to reach out to prospective partners and generate interest in Hanover’s services. Business Development Associates are crucial to the success of Hanover’s business model, as every potential partnership starts with us.
Why did you decide to work at Hanover?
What really drew me to Hanover was the opportunity to learn more about companies working in the rapidly evolving technology sector while supporting them in their strategic initiatives. Equally as important to my decision was Hanover’s young and collaborative culture and its leadership, which truly cares about employees’ growth and development.
In your opinion, what sets Hanover apart from other organizations?
The Vibes! We have a great community of young employees that really care about one another. These people aren’t just my co-workers, they’ve actually become good friends. Hanover encourages you to get to get close with your peers, knowing that the only way for us to reach our full potential is to share ideas and collaborate with one another.
Why should graduates at your alma mater be interested in working at Hanover?
Hanover is a great organization to begin your professional career with. Not everyone who starts at Hanover plans to stay for life, but I can say with conviction that a job at Hanover will set you up for a great career no matter where you end up. Hanover works with so many different businesses in so many different industries that it’s impossible to go a single day without learning about something that interests you. You can choose to support Hanover in Business Development, Strategy, Corporate Communications, IT, Human Resources, Operations, or on a Research team, and if you decide that your chosen role isn’t right for you, Hanover encourages you to try something new. Every day at Hanover is an opportunity to learn or try something new.
What is your favorite part of your job/the company?
My favorite part? I can’t limit it to just one! What I love about Hanover is the people I work with, the opportunities we’re given to support our local community, the chances I have to learn every day, and of course free food is always a plus.
