On the morning of Saturday August 23rd, Jenn Sague led a group of Hanoverians to puppy paradise – organized as a volunteer opportunity through Wags-n-Whiskers.
Wags-n-Whiskers is a community-oriented event for animal-lovers of all ages to spend an afternoon at The Village at Shirlington with their pet. The event featured pet contests, demonstrations, exhibitions, pet portrait photos, children’s activities such as face painting, balloon art, live music, and more.
Hanoverians worked the Homeward Trails Animal Rescue table and where shoppers met adoptable dogs and learned how to help homeless dogs or cats by donating, volunteering or fostering. Homeward Trails volunteers talked to shoppers about animals available for adoption and the adoption process. If you are considering welcoming a new pet into your family, you can submit an adoption questionnaire!
