Fall Sundays at Hanover have become synonymous with box seats, Pro Football, and deluxe nachos. We always look forward to meeting up with fellow Hanoverians to play armchair quarterback in Hanover’s private suite at FedExField. Last Sunday, this regular ritual was marked by a visit from a very special guest: Hanover’s good friend, Tyler. Tyler and his parents joined Hanover to cheer on Washington against the New Orleans’ Saints, and we’re quite certain it was his enthusiasm alone that ultimately led to a victory.
Our Founder and Chief Performance Officer, Peter Dodge, first met Tyler two years ago while visiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The two immediately hit it off, initially bonding over their mutual love for all things football. At that time, Tyler had just been diagnosed with cancer. Today, we are delighted to know that Tyler has recently finished up with treatment. Tyler was finally able to leave the hospital for the few days, so he and his parents decided to visit Washington, D.C. to do a bit of sight-seeing. To celebrate this exciting news, Peter invited Tyler and his parents to visit the Hanover FedExField box to watch the home game and hang out with the Hanover staff.
The afternoon was nothing short of a blast for Hanover staff and Tyler alike. While all were fixated on the gridiron below, there was plenty of time between plays for snacking, laughing, and even selfies (though, as this picture shows, we could’ve used a selfie stick). We hope to host Tyler and his family for another winning game day sometime soon. Good luck, Tyler – Hanover is rooting for you!
