Hanover Happenings: May-June ’13

Charitea Event Raises Over $150 for House of Ruth

Hanover’s H Street office hosted a Charitea—a Friday afternoon Tea Party where employees paid a donation to enjoy baked goods prepared by other employees. In addition to providing an enjoyable afternoon break, Hanover raised over $150 for local charity House of Ruth.

Researchers Participate in Tuppershare

Hanover’s H Street research team has started a new lunch program: Tuppershare. In this lunch system, each person within a group of five is responsible for bringing a day’s meal. Therefore, you only have to cook once a week – but enjoy a week’s worth of homemade lunches!

The K Street Food Club

The K Street Food Club meets monthly to share a themed lunch together. This month’s theme: Picnic Food.

Food & Friends Volunteering

For our May community outreach event, a group from Hanover trekked to Fort Totten to bag meals for Food & Friends. Hanover contributed hundreds of breakfast and dinner meals for the men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Food & Friends serves these individuals by preparing and delivering specialized meals in conjunction with nutrition counseling.
