Hanover’s Week of Service this year enabled all staff, office based and remote, to participate in a community service activity that was meaningful to that group of employees/community. Hanover’s Charlottesville office was proud to be a part of the 26th annual United Way – Thomas Jefferson Area Day of Caring. Approximately 2,000 local volunteers collectively donated about 13,000 hours of service, estimated to be the equivalent of close to $350,000 worth of pro bono work. Our team of Cvillians spent the day at a local elementary school, reading to students from Kindergarten through Grade 5. As employees in Hanover’s education practice, we enjoyed getting into the community and seeing education in action! In addition to the Cville event, our remote based employees also donated blood at the Red Cross and volunteered at their local libraries.
