Day 5 of our Week of Service gave a group of roughly 20 Hanoverians the opportunity to spend time at the Oxon Hill Farm and experience farm life by assisting staff with caring for the farm animals (goats, horses, chickens) and cleaning up the river. Oxon Hill Farm is a living farm museum operated by the National Park Service in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The park provides an excellent resource for environmental studies, wildlife observing, fishing, and other recreational activities in the area.
