In brief, what is your role at Hanover?
I am a Content Specialist on Hanover’s Development Support team. I work with Development Directors across Hanover’s practice areas to describe research methodologies on calls and support the business development process. I previously worked as a researcher in Hanover’s K-12 and higher education practices.
Why did you decide to work at Hanover?
My interest in education and research experience led me to Hanover. As an English major at UNC, I spent my senior year conducting research for my Honors thesis. This research experience prepared me well for the type of work Hanover does on behalf of our education clients.
In your opinion, what sets Hanover apart from other organizations?
The number of bright, talented young people who work at Hanover set it apart from other companies. Hanover hires incredibly smart, interesting employees who make wonderful coworkers. In addition, Hanover offers recent graduates the unique opportunity to independently manage challenging research projects.
Why should graduates at your alma mater be interested in working at Hanover?
We have a growing corps of UNC graduates at Hanover, and it would be great to add more Tar Heels to the team! UNC prepares students with the writing, critical thinking, and communication skills that are essential to the work we do in both research and sales.
What is your favorite part of your job/the company?
As a researcher, my favorite part of the job was the diversity of challenges the research projects presented and the opportunity to learn new research methodologies. As a Content Specialist, I enjoy applying those research skills to our sales process. I’ve also enjoyed getting to know my coworkers!
Hanover will be at UNC on February 26th, see you there!
We’ll be coming to a school near you soon! Be sure to check out all our upcoming visits.
