Being a Development Associate at Hanover Research

Q&A with Meghan McAllister, a Business Development Associate on the Higher Education team, based out of New York:

What’s been your most memorable experience with Hanover, to date?

In November, I had the opportunity to accompany my director to a high-level conference in Las Vegas. We’d just recently become members of Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU) and wanted to take advantage of its upcoming conference – The CEO Summit. We had the opportunity to network with dozens of CEOs and learn more about the strategic challenges facing the proprietary education sector. We were able to sit down with executives and introduce Hanover Research, have lunch with industry leaders, and listen to amazing panels on enrollment growth, strategic planning, and branding.

What skills can new Hanoverians expect to learn?

New Hanoverians can expect to learn the fundamentals of custom market research and data analytics. Starting with our core research methodologies, new hires will get to know the market research sector and how Hanover is able to drive success for our clients. In the Development Associate role, you’ll learn best practices for prospecting, client relations, pipeline management, and sales processes, among other business development skills.

Why should graduates at your alma mater be interested in working at Hanover?

I imagine any Tulane graduate would find joy working at an organization that encourages the familiar values of community engagement, life-long learning, professional development, work-life balance, and academic excellence.

How would you describe Hanover’s culture?

Meghan graduated from Tulane University with her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and joined Hanover after working for 2 years in other development and consulting roles in New Orleans, before moving to the New York area.
