Hanover Strengthens Employee Health Campaign Initiative through Non-Profit Org TABLE FOR TWO

Hanover Research recently made a unique enhancement to its ongoing employee health campaign while also contributing to a great cause. Hanover made a donation to TABLE FOR TWO (TFT), a non-profit organization that aims to balance hunger and nutrition issues across the world by partnering with organizations in developed countries to promote healthy eating, while helping to feed hungry children in developing countries. Because of Hanover’s contribution, TFT will be able to supply 1,200 school meals to kids in need around the world.

To fulfill TFT’s two-pronged mission to also promote healthy eating, Hanover aims to further increase the supply of nutritious snacks from its regularly stocked employee food pantry. Thanks to food manufacturer Calbee North America and its campaign with TFT, in which it donated thousands of Snapea Crisps samples along with coupons (also downloadable here), Hanover employees are jump-starting the healthy eating initiative with free Snapea samples in the office.

The unique partnership came about through Hanover’s employee, Yui Nagashima, who is a volunteer for TFT. Knowing that Hanover avidly promotes healthy living and is also active in partnering with/contributing to non-profit organizations, Yui pitched the idea to Hanover believing they would support the campaign. As she anticipated, Hanover leadership fully supported the idea. Yui stated: “This campaign is positive in so many ways, in addition to the obvious value of helping to feed children in dire need of basic nutrients. 1) It speaks to the generosity of Hanover and its willingness to contribute to NGO’s that employees firmly believe in 2) further promotes healthy habits among employees even when our company already upholds above-average fitness and health standards, and 3) benefits industry stakeholders we provide our research and grant development services to, including food manufacturers, school districts, and non-profit organizations.”

About Hanover’s Wellness Initiatives:

Hanover Research routinely promotes healthy eating and fitness activities for its employees. Employees can expect regular e-mails from HR Manager (and former yoga instructor) Kim Tracy to participate in free activities, ranging from her own yoga classes, to expert wellness coaching sessions, to Get Up and Stretch daily motivators. Office managers across Hanover’s three offices are known for their responsiveness to employee requests and commitment to making Hanoverians happy; as such, they accommodate snack requests for our constantly stocked food pantry, and over time the kitchen has evolved to including more healthy food items such as fruit, KIND bars, and baked Frito Lay products.

In our world of 7 billion, 1 billion suffer from malnutrition, while another 1 billion suffer from obesity. TABLE FOR TWO rights this imbalance by simultaneously addressing the two opposing problems through a unique “calorie transfer” program. By partnering with over 600 corporations, universities, restaurants, and organizations implementing our program in their establishments and products, TABLE FOR TWO has served millions of healthy meals to both sides of the “table.”

On one side people are eating healthier meals, and on the other children are receiving nutritious school meals. In this way, we can say that when you dine at TABLE FOR TWO, you never dine alone. Learn how to get involved at
